Data Fabrication & Manipulation Policy
Innovations in Plant and Environmental Sciences Research (IPESR) maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward data fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or inappropriate image editing. Authors must present only genuine, unaltered data obtained through ethical and scientifically sound procedures. Unacceptable practices include—but are not limited to—fabricating data or results, modifying images (such as gels, microscopy, spectra) to misrepresent findings, selective reporting intended to mislead, and manipulating statistical outputs. All images must accurately reflect original results; any adjustments must be clearly described. Manuscripts suspected of data manipulation will undergo investigation, which may include requests for raw data or replication details. Verified cases of fabrication or falsification will result in immediate rejection or retraction and may be reported to authors’ institutions or funding agencies. Upholding data integrity is essential for maintaining trust in scientific research.
